Mehmet Eskin, Ph.D., is a professor of clinical psychology. Dr. Eskin earned his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the Department of Psychology, Middle East Technical University in Ankara. He did his graduate training in clinical psychology in the Departments of Psychology in both Middle East Technical University and University of Oslo, Norway. He received his Ph.D. in psychology from the Department of Psychology, Stockholm University, Sweden. He obtained associate professorship from Stockholm University in 2001 and from Interuniversity Consortium in 2002. Previously, Dr. Eskin worked in the Department of Psychiatry at Aydın Adnan Menderes University Medical Faculty for many years. He authored nine books and more than 100 scholarly articles. His research interests include suicide, problem-solving therapy, sexual orientation and identity, personality disorders and cultural factors in the onset and treatment of mental disorders. He is an elected member of the Science Academy of Türkiye.
I graduated from Işık University psychology department in 2016. While I was a student, I did my internship in psychiatry units of hospitals such as Bakırköy Mazhar Osman Mental Health and Neurological Diseases Hospital and Istanbul Medical Faculty Hospital. After graduating from Işık University, I worked as a project assistant in a non-governmental organization that studies substance addiction treatment. Later, I completed my master's in Health Psychology at Cardiff Metropolitan University. After working as an attendant improvement in a civil society organization that provides inpatient treatment for substance abuse in the UK did return to Türkiye in 2019. Currently, I am continuing my studies as a doctoral student in Koç University Psychology Department. My research interests are suicide, addiction, disadvantaged groups, mental health and well-being.
I am currently PhD student on Clinical Psychological Science track at Koç University. I obtained my bachelor’s degree at İstanbul Sehir University and obtained my master’s degree on Clinical Psychology from Marmara university. I am interested in ways by which we understand the mechanisms behind psychopathologies, psychological trauma and how we could make strengthen mental health conditions. My research interests are mostly psychological trauma, post-traumatic growth and refugee mental health.
After completing my undergraduate education in the Department of Psychology at the Middle East Technical University, I did a master's degree in clinical psychology at Utrecht University in the Netherlands. I am currently continuing my doctorate education in the field of clinical psychology at Koç University. My main areas are psychological trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic loss and grief. Additionally; I'm also interested in cognitive behavioral therapy and its effectiveness and women's mental health.
I finished my Bachelor's degree at Tabriz University and my Master's degree at Tehran University, both in clinical psychology. Currently, I am a Ph.D. student in the clinical track at Koç University. My research interest encompasses three avenues: 1. Depression and anxiety are psychopathologies I am delving into, and in this context, suicide is the most fundamental phenomenon I am exploring. 2. Cognition and Emotion (regulation/dysregulation) in the abovementioned context is also of great interest. 3. Acceptance and Commitment therapy (psychological flexibility/inflexibility) is the third line of my research.
During my undergraduate studies I conducted my thesis on the relationship between social networking site use, subjective well-being and self-esteem. I have a passion for helping others improve their mental well-being and overall life-satisfaction. My research interests include examining key risk and protective factors such as one’s level of resilience and emotion regulation capabilities, associated with the development of mental disorders such as anxiety, depression and OCD. I also have an interest in cultural differences and its influence on our understanding, expression and treatment of mental disorders.
I have 5 years of statistics, research and clinical psychology experience coupled with programming background with Python, R and SQL. My main research interest is developing transdiagnostic Mental Health mobile applications and other internet-based interventions (e-nterventions). I'm also interested in building prognostic and diagnostic algorithms using clinical assessments in conjunction with neuroimaging and text data.
I have completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology at Middle East Technical University in 2020. Currently, I am a student of Koç University's Clinical Psychology M.A. program. As of now, my research interests are suicide, trauma and cultural factors in mental health. Furthermore, I am also interested in schema therapy and early maladaptive schemas (EMS).
After graduating from Koç University and completing two years of corporate experience in human resources, I came back to Koç University as a Clinical Psychology master's student. I am interested in cognitive-behavioral psychotherapies, systemic therapies, transdiagnostic processes, mental health during emerging adulthood, leader mental health, and designing wellbeing interventions for organizations.
I have completed my bachelor’s degree at Sabancı University. I am a first-year student in Koç University Clinical Psychology Masters of Art program. I am greatly interested in the development of psychopathologies however my main research areas are traumatic experiences in close relationships, intergenerational trauma and trauma related psychological disorders. Within the laboratory I am currently working on creating an intervention program through culturally adapted cognitive behavioral therapy for psychological distress and how intergenerational trauma effects individuals.
After graduating from Istanbul Bilgi University, now I’m currently studying at Koç University’s Clinical Psychology Masters program. I’m interested in the underlying processes of developing psychopathology and how its manifested differently in every individual, especially anxiety disorders. I'm interested in romantic relationship's relation to well-being. I’m also curious about the developmental mechanisms behind suicidal ideations and behaviors.
After completing my undergraduate education at Bilkent University, I started my master's degree in clinical psychology at Koç University. My research interests are transdiagnostic risk factors and their relationship to anxiety disorders. In particular, the role of the relationships between personality traits and EF abilities on anxiety disorders is my research interest.
I obtained my bachelor’s degree from Bahçeşehir University. I am now a graduate student who is currently working on her master’s degree in Clinical Psychology department at Koç University. I am interested in the psychological traumas’ role on developing psychological disorders. My research interests are mainly psychological trauma, resilience, PTSD, social anxiety disorder, anxiety and mood disorders in general.
After graduating from Boğaziçi University, I started working on my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Koç University. I am curious about questioning what constitutes as “abnormal” and understanding both the risk factors and the protective factors in the development and maintenance of psychopathologies. My current research interests are transgenerational trauma, post-traumatic growth, and bereavement.
I have graduated in 2018 from Boğaziçi University with a BA degree in Management and double majored in Western Languages and Literatures. I am currently a master’s student in Psychology at Koç University. My thesis is on attitudes towards people expressing suicidal ideation and I am approaching this topic from an interpersonal emotion regulation perspective. I am also interested in research on gender, emotions, morality, empathy, language, and fiction.
After completing my undergraduate education at Özyeğin University psychology department, I am now in my first year in Koç University's clinical psychology master program. My interests include adult psychopathology, with a focus on anxiety and depression disorders. I especially aim to study these psychopathologies from a positive psychology and developmental perspective.
I have recently completed my bachelor’s degree in Psychology with Sociology Minor at Koç University in June 2020. Currently, I am a first-year master’s student in Clinical Psychology. My primary research interests are interpersonal relationships, family trauma including physical and sexual violence, and intergenerational transmission of trauma. Especially, I am very curious about the role of social support and living conditions of people on developing distress and psychopathologies, and I continue my research activities in related areas.
After receiving my bachelor’s degree from Psychology at Middle East Technical University, I have been working on my master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at Koç University. My main research areas consist of addiction, sexual dysfunctions, psychotic disorders and interpersonal relationship problems.
After achieving my bachelor’s degrees from Koç University with double major program on Psychology and Economics, I have been enrolled in Clinical Psychology master’s program at Koç University. I am interested in working on improving mental health of leaders in any kind of institution because I believe that good mental health of leaders is the biggest support on enhancing psychological well-being of individuals in the communities of those leaders. So, I am passionate to work on pathological leadership problems -especially the ones caused by trauma- as well as leadership training.
Selen Demircioğlu, graduated from İstanbul Bilgi University, has completed her bachelor’s degree on psychology in 2018 with high honors degree. After completing her Yoga Instructor training in 2019, started to organize yoga sessions for both adults and kids within the municipality of Kadıköy. She is currently enrolled in Clinical Psychology MA Program at Koç University. Her research interests are on, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress disorder and trauma related disorders. She adopts the principles and perspective of cognitive-behavioral therapy. She aims that the physical and material accessibility will enable psychotherapy prevalence in our country, with individual and group therapy sessions.
After graduating from Middle East Technical University in 2016, I pursued my master’s degree in cognitive psychology at Koç University in 2019. Currently, I am a master's student in clinical psychology, interested in suicidal ideation and behavior as well as childhood adversities' effect on early maladaptive schemas.
I graduated from Yeditepe University and I am currently doing my master’s degree in the department of Clinical Psychology at Koç University. My research interest constitutes trauma-related disorders, mainly developmental trauma and its influences on later life. I am also enthusiastic about converging my research interest on traumatic procedures with neuroscientific studies. At present, I am working on research projects on transgenerational trauma and maladaptive schemas and also, implicit aspects of suicide association.
I’m a first-year master’s student in the Clinical Psychology program at Koç University and I received my bachelor’s degree from Istanbul University in Psychology. In terms of research, I’m interested in the relationship between minority stress and minority mental health, specifically in LGBTQ+ individuals and community at large. Another related interest of mine is designing and evaluating the effectiveness of individual, group and community interventions informed by this research.
I obtained my bachelor's degree from Bahçeşehir University, department of Psychology and currently I am in the first year of my master's degree in the Clinical Psychology program at Koç University. My research interests range from trauma and anxiety related psychopathologies to suicide. More specifically, I am interested in the cognitive processes and the differences occasioned by factors related to those issues. Besides, it converges with my research interests to work on how to adapt cognitive behavioral therapy to a psychotherapy context which is carried through sign language.
